The 757 Geological Brigade of the Geological Bureau of Guangdong Province has initially identified the rare earth mineral composition, structure, and quality of Jiangmen City, and made evaluations and suggestions on the resource potential. They pointed out that the amount of rare earth resources in the Republican area of ​​Heshan City under the jurisdiction of Jiangmen was 290,000 tons, and the amount of rare earth resources in the Gushiling area under the jurisdiction of Jiangmen was 45,700 tons. Yamen, Guhui, and Xinping districts under the jurisdiction of Jiangmen were included. The total amount of rare earth resources in Langdi, Datian Town is 220,000 tons.

The evaluation report pointed out that because the Heshan Gonghe rare earth mining area is a low hilly terrain and the mining area is adjacent to a prosperous town, the hills where large areas of rare earth mineral deposits are developed are developed into industrial areas, residential areas, highways, and golf courses.
