As the temperature rises in spring, the rate of soil loss is further accelerated, posing a great threat to spring sowing.

According to the Ningxia Meteorological Bureau, the temperature in the whole district is mainly high in the later period, the precipitation is generally less, and the drought will be further aggravated, which will have a greater impact on spring agricultural production. It is suggested that soil moisture monitoring and field management should be strengthened throughout the district, and scientific drought relief should be carried out in a timely manner to ensure smooth production in spring.

Agricultural experts put forward suggestions:

First, the central arid zone and the northern part of Pengyang and the northern part of the original state have a high probability of winter, spring and summer drought. Spring sowing may be hindered, winter wheat is affected, and drinking water for humans and animals may also be difficult. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare for expanding the area of ​​autumn crops as soon as possible, increase the reserve of irrigation water sources, increase the promotion and application of water-saving and drought-resistant technologies, and ensure that the summer supplements.

Second, the winter wheat area in the mountainous area has no obvious snowfall for a long time. The temperature in January is low. The long dry and cold weather is unfavorable for winter wheat wintering. It is expected that the wintering death rate may be higher than normal. All localities should do their seedling work as soon as possible, and places where conditions permit should be flooded early.

Third, strengthen the work of artificial precipitation (snow), especially to increase the intensity of artificial rainfall in spring. At present, the meteorological department has prepared sufficient personnel and materials to fully prepare for the monitoring of weather changes, and will seize every favorable weather process to carry out rain (snow) operations.
