For grease on stone grills, a half cup of trisodium phosphate can be added to a gallon of hot water to make a solution. Wear rubber gloves and brush the stone surface with a hard brush. Rinse with warm water. If you can't completely remove the oil stains, repeat it several times. If necessary, add more trisodium phosphate, such as a cup per gallon. Since this is a very irritating solution, avoid contact with skin, carpet or fabric.
