(1) Determine the component force of the main drive system as the external load in the circumferential direction, radial direction and axial direction,
(2) Aligning these component forces into two forces parallel to the axial direction and perpendicular to the axial direction; that is, axial force and centripetal force,
(3) According to the fulcrum balance condition of the shaft; find the supporting reaction force of each fulcrum; that is, the external load on the bearing,
(4) Depending on the size and proportion of the centripetal and axial forces supported by the bearing; the bearing type suitable for accepting such external force is determined,
(5) The external force is converted into the equivalent dynamic load applied to the bearing according to the inevitable rule; for the demand of bearing fatigue life accounting,
(6) Sometimes these external forces are to be converted into the equivalent static load applied to the bearing according to another rule; thereby checking whether the bearing can attack forever.
