Idle pesticide storage precautions

<

With the arrival of winter, the use of pesticides by farmers has been greatly reduced. The remaining pesticides and pesticides to be used in the next year have entered the storage period. In order to protect the pesticide properties, the following eight points should be noted:

1. Anti-volatile: Since most pesticides are volatile, it is necessary to pay attention to the sealing measures when storing pesticides, to avoid evaporation and reduce the efficacy, pollute the environment and endanger human health.

2 All pesticides have different degrees of toxicity. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to prevent accidents when storing pesticides. Anti-accident: Four points should be noted: First, it is best to store it in a counter or wooden box during storage, and lock it and label it. Second, pesticides cannot be stored in the same room as grain, oil, food and animal feed. Third, the emulsifiable concentrate and the fumigant pesticide cannot be placed together with inflammable and explosive materials (such as gasoline, firecrackers, etc.), and cannot be stored in the bedroom or livestock house. Pay special attention not to the place where the child can touch, so as to avoid have an accident. Fourth, paper-packed articles and medicine bottles for pesticides must not be used to hold food, food and feed.

3. Loss of pesticide label or instruction manual: pesticides purchased by farmers must be kept with pesticide labels and instructions for use. A small amount of pesticides purchased and removed should be labeled and attached to the medicine bottle (bag). The label has been lost or the label is blurred. Unclear pesticides must be re-written with the name, usage, dosage, expiration date, and scope of use, and attached to the bottle or bag for proper use.

4, anti-deterioration: pesticides must be classified and stored. It cannot be stored together with alkaline substances, ammonium bicarbonate or ammonium nitrate.

5, anti-moisture: storage and storage of pesticides should be kept dry (relative humidity below 75%), to prevent moisture.

6, keep the temperature: the higher the temperature, the more easily the pesticide melts, decomposes, volatilizes, and even burns and explodes. Some bottled liquid pesticides tend to freeze when they encounter low temperatures, form a block, or freeze the bottle. The high temperature pesticide should be stored in a cool, dry, ventilated place, and the storage temperature should not be higher than 35 °C. Anti-freezing should be taken to prevent freezing and keep the temperature above 1 °C. A common method of antifreeze is to cover the insulation with chopped firewood, clam shells or unused quilts.

7, anti-light and sun: pesticides packed in brown bottles generally need to be protected from light, such as phoxim pesticides see light easily decomposed. Pesticides that need to be protected from light, if exposed to light for a long time, will cause decomposition and deterioration of pesticides. For example, after the sunscreen of the emulsion pesticide, the emulsifying property is deteriorated and the efficacy is lowered. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid exposure to sunlight during storage.

8. Prevention of environmental pollution: A small amount of pesticides that have failed or remain cannot be dumped in the field, and cannot be poured into ponds, streams, rivers or wells. Deep burial should be taken to avoid polluting the environment.
