For the requirements of low-level coal cascade utilization and coal gasification and gasification technologies, the “Science and Technology Innovation Project of China Academy of Sciences†and “Science and Technology Initiative of the Chinese Academy of Sciences†support the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Shanxi Coal Chemistry Institute and China’s A heavy machinery group company jointly developed a multi-stage conversion fluidized bed coal gasification technology. After years of research, breakthroughs have been made, and the stable operation of 2.8 MPa fluidized bed coal gasification technology has been achieved for the first time in a multi-bed pilot plant platform. Process indicators have reached the international advanced level. On May 13, an expert from the Shanxi Science and Technology Department organized an assessment of this achievement. The appraisal committee is composed of experts from domestic coal chemical industry fields, such as East China University of Technology Clean Coal Technology Research Institute, Taiyuan Coal Gasification Corporation, and Shenhua Group Beijing Low-carbon Clean Energy Research Institute. The meeting was chaired by Li Lei, Achievement Department of Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Department. The relevant person in charge of the Shanxi Coal Chemical Institute and project team members attended the meeting. The project leader and deputy director of Shanxi Coal Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Fang Yitian respectively reported on the key technologies, innovations, pilot application and promotion prospects involved in this achievement, and broadcasted a video clip of the “pilot demonstration facilityâ€. Experts of the appraisal committee reviewed the appraisal materials after listening to the report. After questioning and discussion, they all agreed that the project integrates ash fusion gasification, pressurized hydrogenation pyrolysis, transport bed gasification, and pressurized fluidized bed gas. The advantages of chemical technology can realize high efficiency gasification of wide sieving pulverized coal and powder coke; coupled high pressure gasification and pyrolysis process to produce high methane content syngas; capable of large-scale gasification of coke powder (pyrolysis Semi-coke), through the section of the lift into the oxygen / steam, high-temperature fine powder circulation automatic control technology to improve the efficiency of the fine powder gasification, significantly increase the fluidized bed gasification carbon conversion rate. The research results of this project are technologically advanced, scientific and reasonable, safe and reliable, innovative, and have broad prospects for popularization and application. The research level is in sync with international advanced technology in the same field.
