The working principle of the hammer mill is broken by the impact, shearing and friction between the material and the hammer, the sieve plate and the casing.

The casing and the sieve plate are fixed, the hammer is rotated with the rotor main shaft, and the sweeping material is also rotated by the animal material. The crushed material smaller than the mesh hole leaks through the sieve plate, and the large particles continue to be pulverized.

The crushing of the material in the hammer mill is mainly achieved by impact. The inner cavity of the pulverizer casing is mostly round. After the first impact of the material, the material often rotates synchronously with the hammer, losing the opportunity to continue to collide with the hammer and reduce the working efficiency. Later, the case was changed to a water drop shape, and the situation improved.

Therefore, it is thought that destroying the synchronous rotation of the material and the hammer, changing the movement state of the material particles in the machine, and increasing the chance of impact with the hammer, will inevitably greatly improve the work efficiency.

Due to the different design structures of the various types of pulverizers, the flaps can be welded at appropriate positions in the middle of the two sets of hammer passages without affecting the replacement of the sieve plates. (Fig.) When the side change screen is of sufficient thickness and strength, the flap can also be fixed at the appropriate position of the screen.

There have been brave innovators who installed such files in the old-fashioned pulverizers, measuring the smashing efficiency, and actually improving the work efficiency by more than 50%!
